This pivotal role supports complex member casework, complaints handling, scheme events, and technical pensions issues across our Member Services teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex member casework and complaints, including the Internal Disputes Resolution Process.
• Support Trustee discretionary committees, ensuring robust processes and timely case management.
• Act as the main liaison with Legal and external parties on scheme, legal, and regulatory matters.
• Provide technical oversight on scheme events and regulatory projects.
• Review calculations and validate data for high-value or sensitive cases.
• Disseminate legislative and regulatory updates across teams, ensuring compliance.
• Deliver technical support including query resolution, communications review, and training.
• Contribute to the development of the member portal and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee technical aspects of bulk projects including data analysis and system updates.
• Support risk reduction and member experience enhancement through process and system monitoring.

Person Specification

We’re looking for someone with proven experience in a technical pensions administration role within defined benefit schemes. You’ll have strong knowledge of scheme rules, HMRC regulations, and pensions legislation, alongside excellent analytical and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential, and a PMI qualification or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
